Stephen C. Himel , CPA, is a Principal in the firm and is focused on providing clients auditing, compliance, and consulting services related to employee benefit plans. He has over 30 years of experience in this area.
Steve began his career with the international accounting firm KPMG and then served as the Director of Human Resources for a large food manufacturer before returning to public accounting to focus on employee benefit plan services.
Steve is considered a leader in the field of employee benefits and holds an advanced certification from the AICPA related to defined contribution plan audits. He is a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center. Steve holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of New Orleans and currently serves on the board of the Association of Employee Benefit Planners of New Orleans.
