GEORGE LONG, III is the Director of Business Valuation Services. Buddy joined the firm following 20 years in a local firm directing the Business Valuation and Tax departments. A former instructor and Assistant Dean at the University of New Orleans, he also has experience with a Big Four accounting firm.

Buddy has qualified as an expert in business valuations and lost profits in Federal court as well as several parish courts. He has valued businesses in the healthcare, construction, engineering, manufacturing and trucking industries for the purposes of mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift taxes, marital dissolutions, ESOPs and buy-outs.

Accredited by the American Institute of CPAs in Business Valuation, he is also a CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner. A published author, he addresses professional groups regarding valuing businesses.

Buddy holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree from UNO and has worked toward his Ph.D. He is a member of the AICPA, Society of Louisiana CPAs and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a charter member of the Financial Consulting Group. He is also a member and former Board Member of the Metairie Rotary Club and Shell Beach Fishing Club and a member of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council.
